Unibody Damage. Now what?

Yup. Got smacked by a Utility backing out of there parking space. Didn't see em coming till it was too late. Some 4 cornered metal peace jutt'n out the back of the truck scrapped a small piece of the rear passenger door then hooked rear wheel well just behind the tire……pretty ugly and officially Maxeene's first and hopefully ONLY accident.

Got a report back from the body shop and there telling me that the "Unibody" is damaged or bent rather. They said they can't tell how bad just yet, but Im wondering now

What the hell is a "Unibody"? Can anyone shed some light? Is this something that I should be concerned about as far as Maxeenes longevity goes?

Thanks for the input

Put simply, a unibody construction on a car means that the external panels are the structural integrity of the car (they bolt together to hold the car together), in difference to a car with a large structural frame with the "skin", external panels, simply bolted on the "outside"

Not good as in "She'll NEVER be the same" not good?

Or not good as in "Bad but fixable" not good?

Come on people, I need more information. The last one made my heart skip a beat. Should I be preparing for another Car?
