Depending upon the year, transmission, and your driving habits, a fair estimate on gas mileage would be around 20-22 mpg overall.

Well, this is basically what mine looks like

I havent taken any recent pics lately....but the fuel cell sits on top by the manifold and pretty much does it's job.

I don't want to do the math but I can get at least 100 miles per quarter tank. Just had the fuel system cleaning, oil change and new alternator put in. Next week Y-pipe.
Still looking to get better mpg's! (I know Y-pipe does not necessarily add that but wanted to throw that in!).

Gas prices got absurd here in Massachusetts this weekend!! Seemed like over night I was paying never seen before prices and then some!

I think fuel efficiency thread will become more prevalent than the "what spark plug is best?" thread.

MM

Nice installation BijanGXE. With the success of the Prius the Hybrid Synergy is a way to go.
What I have done is install one of those 'Tornado's ' just before the TB and I have the high powered magnet that surrounds the fuel line that polorizes the hydrocarbon molecules for complete combustion. Plus I run 52 psi in the wheels.
That has gotten me up to 34.5 mpg.
Somebody on the org told me that if i did not sit my full weight on the seat it would help my mpg, but tried this for a couple of tanks and i think somebody was just playing a joke on me
This is what i am going to try next when i get my sisters insurance payout.
http://www.fitchfuelcatalyst.com/techinfo/ffcfaq.html
I think my magnet may be doing some of this already

HAHA Love the jokes everyone! I get about 24-26.5 since replacing knock sensor, (3) O2 sensors, and spark plugs. Before I was hitting about 22-23. I drive fairly hard...full WOT on the on-ramps, and I just like to drive fast in general.

Hey folks,

I drive a 95 Max that I bought 2 weeks ago. Am really surprised to hear that some of you get upwards of 20 MPG. I get close to 15 MPG (~300miles on the 20 gallon tank) -

Have started filling premium starting this week ($1.99/gal in Columbus, OH) - better than Cailfornia for sure! Am new to the forum and am finding my way around all the tips posted here. Highly appreciate any quick tips/suggestions to help me get a better MPG?

Thanks -

Ajay.

first off its a 18.5 gallon tank. second are you pushing the car into the gas station? there's no way ur filling up 18.5 gallons unless ur pushing it into the station.

Hey, how do you know that your knock and 02 sensors were bad? I need to know if I need to change them but there is no light showing that there is anything wrong. Although car still feels a little slow after changing sparks, PCV Valve, all fluids and a filter.

Please let me know.

i went out and bought one from my nearby toyota dealer and boy was i lucky to get one! Everyone on the org was in line ready to slap that baby on the manifold.

Luckily, i was able to get one and had them install it on my manifold. It only took a couple mins. I decided to test this baby out by topping off w/93 octane (@ 2.12/gallon might i add) and decided to drive all the way to the "E" mark.

Then i realized.....

I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance!
