Questions about lowering (q. on labor)
Hey all,
In the next few months I hope to lower my car on Tokico Illuminias and H&R springs. My question is what should I do about installing them. Should I take the car somewhere to have the suspension installed? If so how much would I be looking at as far as a fee goes? Or should I install them myself. The problem with me doing it myself (well i would have help) is that I would not be able to align the car myself and I would have to take it somewhere. That would be a long trip to drive with a miss align car being I would have to do this work at my grandfathers house that is 40 minutes away from me (highway driving for most of it) becuase he has the proper stuff and a garage for me to do this. Would it be ok to drive it home missaligned like that or would it be so bad that driving would be unsafe specially since alot of the driving is on the highway.
Thanks for the help in advanced.

I think he charges 100. That is how much Ben(mzmtg) charged me.
I hear Tom's shop is GREAT. I would def take it there since you are close to him. His number is in the NE forum under the installers sticky.

I drove 2 hours to get mine done, so can you. It is worth the drive because you know it is being done right.

When i first started out, my friends and I worked with a couple of air tools and manual spring compressors...and botched the setup...it took all day and we screwed up big time.
Luckily my gf's uncle owns a shop and had it done for 20 bucks =o)
But 100 dollars or less is what you should be aiming to pay.
