Listen very carefully as the directions in the HOW TO's ( GO THERE OFTEN KID) is slightly wrong.......

First go to your car and leave your door open...on pillar B you will see a button covered with rubber...that is the Driver's door switch (DDS) and this is what makes the car know when the door is closed. This is actually on the car itself and not on the door...anyways with the door OPEN put your key in the ignition and turn it to ACC.....then press that rubber button about 6-8 times within 10 secs and then TURN THE KEY BETWEEN LOCK (0) and ON (2). Now close the door and start the car. This should clear up the light!

Oh, I didn't even know the airbag light could give codes. heres the directions from the faqs:

"How to reset SRS(air bag) light –
Open the driver's door. Note the rubber covered button located low on the B pillar, a button which is pressed by the door when the door is closed. This is the Driver's Door Switch (DDS).

Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Press the DDS at least 5 times within 7 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. Turn the ignition OFF. Close the driver's door. Start the engine.

If the airbag warning lamp is still on (or still flashing), there is a fault in the Supplemental Restraint System which must be diagnosed and repaired. This is a job for your local friendly Nissan dealer."

If this doesn't work either, it looks like you've got to go to the dealer.

The directions on the FAQ/How To is a little off. Jump over to this thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=309090

Near the end, there's instructions on how to properly reset the light. I used it and it worked for me!

Do the reset twice. If it goes back to flashing then there is something wrong. It's an extrememly sensitive system. What always sets mine off is things under the driver or passenger seat. Because of those damn backseat airbags. So I always reach my hand under the seats and make sure all the connections are really tight and then reset the light again and it always clears up.

passenger seat

if you look at the side of the passenger seat u should be able to see a wire black, and just move it around, i barely touched it....and then reset it.....and the light went off...what a relief!!!
