Brake replacement question

Over the weekend I changed the front pads, rotors, and calipers on my 99 Maxima. The brakes are much smoother now but I have to press further down on the brake pedal to engage the brakes. I have bled the front brake lines three times to make sure that any air was gone. I am not getting any more bubbles but the pedal still goes down further than I think it should.

Any ideas? Is there a brake pedal adjustment?

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

try bleeding the rears as well.

you have ABS? did you bleed it properly, following the directions in the service manual?

I haven't bled the rears yet. I was going to try that tonight. I initially didn't think they would need to be done since I didn't do anything to them.

I need to pick up a manual. I have seen different suggestions on the proper order to bleed the brakes. Most say to start with the ones furthest from the master cylinder.

Disconnect the ABS harness at the actuater. Then bleed from: LR,RF,RR,RF. You should be good to go!

Why should you bleed the brakes if replacing rotors and pads? If the brake job has been done correctly you shouldn't have to do that.

Without the car in front of me and without a manual is the ABS harness easy to identify and why do you need to unplug this in order to bleed the brakes?

Thanks
