Don't do it. I had blue ones in mine for about a month. After seeing a bunch of civics and accords with them, i did to do this to myself If you don't have clear corners, get some.

You could try this too...

http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/Needles.htm

Its a little more work and a lot more expensive, but much brighter. Call and check to see if it'll work for a 99.

aHHhh he has a 99' max. he cant use #194 bulbs. i think what he ment by 'mini 194' bulbs are the one that actually fit in a 99' guage which are #74 bulbs i think??

OOOOO...so thats the damn problem....LOL....i was wondering how the hell ppl were getting 194 in that lil thing.....damn...why change 99 that much. Nissan needs to just stay the same as far as LED and small lights. Even NAPA can't find the right stuff and I can hardly find a place online that has a listing for everything!

The bulbs used behind the 99 gauge cluster are proprietary sized bulbs that are only available through Nissan. Keep in mind that 74 bulbs will fit into the bulb socket but they are not exact replacements. This translates into a bulb that is loose and freely moves left-right in the socket. You shouldn't have a problem but there is always a chance that the bulb may fall out of the bulb socket if you take a hard bump in your car. If you're good with a dremel and soldering iron, I recommend that you widen the bulb holes behind the gauges and solder 194 bulbs to the back. This method will provide better lighting and the bulbs will never fall out of socket. The choice is yours but the easier route is using the 74 bulbs. Good luck.

yea they sell them on ebay for the back of the guages that si what i did. number #74. i did a 2000 alitma and biygth fomr this guy and 5 led #74 ran me $10. not to bad.

if you use a regular bulb behind the gauges it will fade. so if you want blue it will go green.

if you want red it will go pink. you should just go hyperwhite. i have indiglo's and the hyperwhites behind them for the needles and odometer.
