Squeaky Axle
When the cv was shot on my '95 SE I changed it myself, big job for me but I got it done.
Now, a couple thousand miles on the rebuilt axle I am getting a rubber sqeak thats very obvious at low speeds with the windows down. I'm sure its always there, just harder to hear at higher speeds.
Anyway, I pulled the wheel and can spin the axel by turning the wheel studs. I have the noise narrowed down to the new axle. Its a wierd rubber squeak you would Swear was just the CV boot rubbing up against something but its not. I tried squeezing it,etc while I turn the axel but the noise is the same. It's gotta be inside somewhere.
Any thoughts at all? I don't think I can handle pulling this all apart again if thats what its gonna take.
Thanks.
