Anyone know if the HKS intake for the maxima is any good? or does it suck cause of the foam filter? I would get a JWT popcharger but can't find a place that sells them in Tornoto. How about an adapter and a 3" K&N cone? same effect as JWT? Thanx for any input...

I had the HKS and it was very nice. It was just too loud like any intake. It is the best made "POP" style intake you can get. They provide everything including a built in velocity stack in the filter structure, housing for the air temp sensor, braket, and high quality silicone couplers. There is a way to remove the resonator between the TB and MAF using all the provided HKS pieces. If you get it, let me know and I'm tell you how to do it. It makes the intake sound EXACTLY like a CAI. This is something you can't do with the Stillen or JWT intakes. The HKS is more money, but I think it's well worth it ($170 vs $120). BTW, foam filters flow the best, the problem is you have to change them out every 5000 miles (~$6 each).

Thanx.. cool.. i think i might just get the HKS then.. i was told that it was 180 CDN for just the filter part and some other parts.. forgot... so i'm guessing it will be about 240-250 CDN.... I think i'm gonna get it within a months time... hmm.. $6 each for repalcement filter, not a big problem... sure, i'll let u know how to resonator between the TB and MAF when i get it.... =)

Doesn't the HKS intake look like a sponge. I remember when I was in the market for an intake, I saw many posts about a particular intake looking like a sponge. Anyone have any ideas.
