I start my Max cold and it fast idles then drops as it wamrs up as normal.
Then it starts high idling again somewhere between 1500 and 2k RPM after I drive it. When I shut it off and restart the problem goes away. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 restarts.

NO ECU CODES.

My TPS is fine but I haven't checked my temp sensor or IAC since last fall.

Has anyone had this problem?

Do you know for sure what causes it?

 

Try cleaning the IACV,... As for the coolant temp sensor, it might be it, but that would cause a check engine lihgt.

 

Right on! That's what I was hoping it was....and youwere right!
It was sticking and all carboned up... I thought I cleaned it last fall.

I don't think I took the actual valve off and cleaned it. I DID this time!
