Questions on a Older 1996 Maxima

I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima SE with 128000 miles on it and wish to either add a turbocharger or a supercharger in that order. What parts should I replace first before I put on the turbocharger/supercharger kit? Or shouldn't I even try with that many miles on the vehicle.

Next Question:
Is there any way to get funding for a project with my vehicle? What do I need to get started?

What mods do you currently have?

Have you ever had any problems with the car?

Auto or Manual?

Nope, I haven't had any problems what so ever.
It currently has Bosch Double Platinum Spark Plugs, Royal Purple Oil 10W30, K&N Air Filter, and NAPA Gold Oil Filter -- that's it for mods. It's a manual. I only run 93.

WOW you have a way to go...first, get alot of money. Second, you might want to do an engine swap cuz i don't think that engine would hold up after putting any kind of boost in there. Third, get some bolt-ons (clutch, flywheel, 4 inch exhaust, etc), for added hp. Fourth, get the supercharger. Fifth and lastly, pray that your maxima doesn't blow up.

So you have no mods? First get some NGK plugs. After that get a few bolt ons and follow that with a TC.

Don't do either. Just my 2 cents though. It's your car, not mine.

1) you'll need ngk coppers $1.50-2.50
2) You'll need new injectors (going faster means needing more fuel)
3) replace water pump ( walboro 255 )
4) get a mevi
5) get mobil 1 sythetic
6) vb mod
7) continue to use 93

what are you talking about, why coppers?
why mevi? you can get 2k manifold or even something else
isnt vb modd for automatic only?
and a walbro water pump??wtf?

a few members have around 130k and run boost , but now a maxima can be made very fast with just N/A modds, like by stroking it with vq3.5 internals. I think you should go down that road if you have the money to sped.
