Me again! Another intake question!

OK, So the "ghetto' hybrid is doing fine, makes a lovely roar over about 3,500-4,000 revs, and she seems a little more responsive now... But I'm a little nervous about a couple of things...

1) The duct tape. Not happy at all with that
2) The stock MAF adapter. Worried that the filter will eventually work loose
3) The PVC upper pipe. Not sure it'll cope well with the heat.

So, feeling a little paranoid, I decided to check eBay for replacements, which is where I should have bloody started in the first place! I found this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

Now can any of you guys tell me what the fourth barb on the pipe is for? I know that the IAF and EGR hoses go into two, and the valve cover can connect to the third, but what does the 4th do?? And if I don't have anything to connect to it, what should I plug it with?

Thanks again, I really appreciate you all taking the time to help a noob

Cheers

Keir

Your intake will eventually fall off if attached to that stock gold MAF connector. Trust me.
So get the MAF adapter off ebay already!

You can ignore the fourth connector on that ebay one, we only need the three. I'm not so sure that it actually comes with 4 connectors...I haven't bought one pictured like that, so I dunno. Email the seller and check, but it should be easy enough to plug.

First off, the pic from ebay isn't for our car.
Second, i had the same setup and my filter never came off.
Third, my filter came off when i got my CAI and i didn't know because it was inside the wheel well.
I only found when i figured i should clean the filter. Must have been off for 2 or more months.

Engine is still strong. TB was dirty though, so i cleaned it.
