Need help with dash kit, its splitting!

Well I bought my kit two years ago, and lately one peice has been tsarting to split, by split I mean that the clear top peice that kind of magnifies the wood and makes it look all shiny and glossy is separating from teh actual wood peice itself. I guess you can call it the protective layer on top of the actual wood trim peice. Does anyone know how I can put this peice back together? Do I need glue or some kind of liquid? You cant just push the peice back on, it wont stay, and its not clear, im assuming some kind of liquid need to be between the two layers. Here is a pic of what I am talking about.

Oh yeah, also, the glossy layer (or whatever you want to call it) gets soft when it is out in the sun or when the temp is really hot, but when it cools down, the layer is very hard...so If i were to put that layer back on right and stick it to the wood, I would have to make it hot first. I dunno =P

I would send pics to the dealer you bought the kit from. Maybe they'll be nice enough to send you new pieces to replace those bad spots. Even if they charge you, one piece shouldn't be too much.

My bad, dude.
It didn't look like it was the beige interior from the pics you posted that I saw.
It looked much darker than that.
You definitely need to get your money back on that stuff.

IMO, the woodgrain doesn't ever look good though.

Well, I heard that if you get it real hot, like with a blowdryer, the kit will become soft, and be easier to peel off. You need to get it hot for a while though, so you wont damage anything. Hopefully the adhesive will stick to the dash kit instead of the original dash. If anything remains, get some goo gone or some cleaner to take off the remains, do that while its hot too, not good to do it when its cold cause then everything is hard. Hope that helps
