starter ?

I have a '95 SE 5spd . I turn the key and get nothing. It appears the battery is charged. I can compression start the car.

What should I check ? If the starter goes bad, will it do nothing ?

Thanks for your help. B4B

Slam the starter with a sledgehammer and it should work (not kidding) but this is a sign that it's on its way out (starter) This happenend to me.

if it just makes a "click" sound, it's time for a new starter. Listen for the "Click"

could be the ignition switch. pull off the little connector to the starter and run a lilttle piece of wire from the positive lead on the starter to the place where you pulled off the wire. if it starts then its the ignition switch if its does nothing its your starter or its not getting power.
