courtesy wires not working

i have a 98 and the driver's side courtesy light (the lil light on the bottom of the door) isn't working. It's not the bulb or the casing because i tried on the other side and it works fine. Are the wires fried? They don't look burnt to me. Happen to anyone before? I don't wanna take out the whole panel

Yeah I have this problem with my left side courtesy light. I think it's a burnt out relay somewhere but I was never able to track it down.

I unplugged today mine courtesy lights for some measurements for the project and I pluged them back in and they don't work on both sides. I measured with voltmeter for volts and there ain't any. Tried to look up in Haynes diagram to find corresponding fuse, but could not even locate it.

Anyone resolved this problem before???

Yea....wtf is up with the hood struts....I thought I was the only one with that prob and I have a 99! I am always afraid it is gonna fall on me cause it is too unstable and has fallen b4.

Does anyone know how to fix these?

Just to remind the topic of this thread: it's about fixing courtesy light, not hood struts!

p.s. Replace them, you can't fix them, just like you don't fix your blown shocks.

i think it has something to do with the ground because with my power tester i used the power from the harnest going to it and i used a different ground and it lit up. i never really changed the ground. i just learned to live with it off. i dont mind
