btw, how can you be right and then right again?

That's like being tried for the same crime twice.

Don't Preludes just have those wimpy I4's that Civics have? Or do they have the nicer V6's like the Accords? I like Hondas, but I'm not a fan of the Prelude so I don't know.

Careful now...that prelude has a 190 hp 2.2l 4 cylinder and weighs about 100 or so lbs less.

The accord V6 is MUCH wimpier then a h22!!! look up the hp difference, the accords 2 extra cyls gain 10 hp over the prelude

Please guys...Dont make me laugh....As a prelude owner (3rd gen) I can vouch for the 4th gen h22 Prelude's performance....With 190hp and around 160lbs/ft torque bolted to a 2900lb curb weight (4th gen is lighter than 5th) the thing aint no slouch, thats for sure. 14 second quarter mile times and a slalom speed that would make you envy it (stock for stock, dont twist it!). A while back we had a guy on www.preludepower.com do a write-up on his h22a1 equipped prelude with baseline dyno, then goes on to intake, exhaust, cams, blah blah ect ect....(Baseline was 162whp and 135lbs/ft) Dyno's every singular mod and also every mod at the end, which showed an intake gave him about 6hp average gain across the board with a peak of 14hp, I believe around 5lbs/ft tq average...Thats OK, not a weak gain for a simple intake. Exhaust - that is where the power came out! Average gain with the exhaust with the intake was either 12hp or 15hp average and peak of 17hp!! I forgot the torque gains...Then the Ceramic DC header which gave another 8hp and 6lbs of torque average, forgot the peak gains...Cams didn't gain much, but he was kind of unclear about any numerical gains because he said he had timing trouble and valvetrain issues or something along those lines...Honda vtec cams are already almost perfect for all-around power.
My point is, I see that Honda's have a bad reputation and all that mainly due to the Civic that started all the modding cuz it was dime a dozen and a pick for a penny pricing....THANKS CIVIC!!!! F*ckin useless model I tell ya....Prelude owners usually despise civic's believe it or not. The Prelude, as us lude owners see it is an exception in the Honda family - that it actually is sweet to own and drive.
All im saying is, dont be so sure about "oh yeah im gonna smoke dat Honda POFS car....OWN HIS A$$!" because some of them will surprise you. Also, drag racing is not the Prelude's strongest atribute. The thing most us prelude owners love about our ludes is the handling abilities....And the 4ws models (which I own), a really good conversational piece....
Maximas and Preludes are in a way different category and there are too many variables to say for sure which is better. I love both of them, the max is a much smoother car and just as good quality....But my lude handles like nothing else ive driven, even my aunts B/F's C4 Vette which is something very nice...

BTW, sorry for the super long post, I guess I type pretty quick and didnt realize...

make sure that you shift well enough or you will lose by a hair. Preludes are not anything to laugh at...
