ECU Question

Is "resetting the check engine light" in the STICKY the same as "resetting the ECU"? Thanks.

Right!?! If you disconnect the battery overnight the ECU will reset, ut when you reset it after checking for codes it's basically the same thing.

Thanks guys for your responses. You know when people put YPIPES on they always say that they reset their ECU afterwords. Do they do it buy the battery method like Big D said or will resetting the check engine light work? That is all I wanted to know I guess. I am installing a YPIPE soon.

They are both the same thing. You either reset it using the reset CEL method or disconnecting the battery for at least 30 minutes.

Disconnecting the battery resets the ECU, it does NOT clear the CEL.
