just got z32 300zx brakes! help me install please!!! Emergency!

I MUST install new brakes this weekend! I am going away for 9 weeks for work, and my front brakes are so shot to ****! there is no way I can drive on them anymore! I just bought used 300zx calipers and rotors and new stainless steel brakelines.....can anyone give me specific directions for install? I have to do this tomorrow or sunday at latest! What do I need to buy? Any shims, gaskets or bolts? If so can I get the needed things at nissan? I read something about rubbing on control arms, and the bolts being too long and needing a washer.....can someone please larify in depth? Better yet, if anyone had done this install before and lives in richmond va or near by, I will pay for help! I hope I have adequately expressed the urfency of this situation! If there is anyone out there in the org community who can help, please post here or contact me via email in depth! thanks for everyone time and for reading my post!

hah, this reminds me of when i tried to get an explanation on a brake swap on my Avenger.. no help from anyone, even people who did it.

of course, i have two others cars with brake swaps, and since they are REAL dodges, the only question i had to ask is "are big brakes worth 50 bucks"?. lol.

sorry, im really no help, i dont know whats involved with the swap, other than that i think the z32 has fixed calipers and the stock are floating..

Did you get the 300zx rotors milled down yet?

-Get the rotors milled down on the RADIUS a total of 3mm.

-Shave off the very outside portion of the control arm with a dremel tool to prevent it from rubbing the rotor. (The actual piece being shaved off is a little lip).

-Make sure you have all the actual caliper hardware to install the pads.

-Make sure you also rebuild the calipers to prevent total failure in the future from worn out boots.....

i tried to find out everything I could! I didnt get a lot of responses to my numerous posts re this subject. my brakes went out totally over the last 3 weeks! I drove for 2 weeks, before looking into prices, paid for the 300zx stuff over 10 days ago and they were just recieved.....in the time since the brakes have almost completely failed....yeah it sucks that I dont know all about how to install these before hand, but circumstances have forced my into this position....once again, if anyone can help a guy out here, id really appreciate it! Like I said, Ill pay for help! HELP!

Do you know how to do a brake job on the Maxima? If so, then you can do this.

Just install everything and when you are done, look on the inside portion of the rotor (facing inwards) and look near the bottom. You will see a suspension piece (lower control arm) and it may not look like it is touch the rotor, but it actually will once you start driving. Just take a dremel tool and remove the portion that looks like it may touch. It is very easy to do.

From start to finish, including bleeding the brakes and dremeling that part, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do.....

I hope you purchased appropriate brake lines and not simply Maxima or 300ZX brakelines, but specifically the 240sx to 300zx conversion lines, because the 300zx caliper uses a different fitting than the maxima caliper, and you CAN AND LIKELY WILL damage your 300ZX calipers or your brake lines if they are not the right ones.
