Starter Noise Fix

I finally figured out what the strange noise in my car was, and i was looking at the fix for it..http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/516 they remove the transmission, there is no way i want to be doing that. Do you have to? Anyone else done this before got any tips or suggestions?

Re-read the article, you just remove somethings in the way then a few bolts to remove the starter. The guy had the tranny out so did it at the same time. I removed my friends starter with no problems at all.

You can get to it just by removing your intake. Very easy.
