Quote: I followed Ludacris' how-to on painting your rims and I did them yesterday. It cost me a total of about $30 for everything. I think it's an awesome mod and I think for anything who can't afford rims right now, it looks awesome. And don't worry about my front end, lol, I got in a little accident. I know I need a new hood/bumper/grill. Just look at the rims! I still need to clean up the edges a bit with some paint thinner and make them a little neater, but I think they came out good. And I think they look much better than stock. Here are the pics:

rims look good, but what in the hell is wrong with the front of your car?

Am I the only one who sees how "uneven" everything is, including the headlights, grill, etc?

Sorry, but the grill just won't do for me.

I already asked that.
He said that it was already messed up.

anyone know of a good way to strip the chrome off of a wheel? I have some 300zx wheels sitting in my backyard. Since the chrome is flaking off of them I was wondering if anyone knew a good way of removing the chrome?

For everyone that doesn't know how to read, or skimmed through it, my car is messed up. I rearended a cop (another thread), and I'm still waiting to get it fixed. I'll probably do the AE headlights soon, and maybe tint my corners and tails, what do you guys think?

I used stripper and took off the paint. And I'm not sure what sandpaper I used, but 400 wasn't rough enough, so I got some from my garage. The lip wasn't too hard. I just overhanged the tape over the rim and used a razor and cut it, then I just sprayed it it normal. The paint edge isn't as neat as I wanted, but you can't tell unless you really look.

Nobody will probably even be able to tell.
I mean, if you get down there and really look, they will have flaws. But even factory wheels have those flaws after a little bit of driving.
