what model is my max?

ok...i got my max(1995)...but i dont know what model it is....what my max has is :

cold air intake(stock), leather seats, bose system, sun roof, spoiler, sawblade rims, 5 speed, fog lights, and automatic seats

there's nothing that'll tell me what model my car is so if u guys know, do tell....im guessin its a souped up SE

also...pepo been tellin me to swap the 00' engine into my car...not coz im a ricer but coz i have 170k on my engine...i heard the 00' engine is 3.0 liter and is 222 bhp...if there's another engine that's better and reasonable, i'd appreciate the sharing...

Sounds like a GLE or SE. I think its an SE.

What color are you gauges ? Like the speedotmer?

Also there is a sticky where you can read the vin and find out your model number.

White gauges with black numbers and body colored door handles=SE
Chrome window trim, door handles, and auto climate=GLE

a 2000 engine will fit, but your friends are mistaken, its actually the 2001 engines that are more better. the internals might fit, but its not a direct swap. their upper intake manifold is a dual runner design. and ours are just crap. that means we lose power after 5000 rpms. solution = MEVI and Cold Air Intake doesnt come stock. check the faq's

sounds like an SE to me

as to swapping out your engine, you can find a lower mileage VQ30 (I forgot the site to where)

I wouldn't worry about the swap; we've got more than a handful of members with 200K+ on their cars and they're doing fine. Take care of it and it will last (and don't do anything stupid).

Not like it matters but the CAI is not stock. Who told you that anyway? And unless somebody went to alot of trouble to swap on SE parts, you've got an SE. Good choice with the 5spd .

its a TYPE R

j/k

lets see:

as soon as 5spd is mentioned, GLE is crossed out. so we're left with SE and GXE.

leather seats= gxe crossed out
power seats= gxe crossed out
spoiler=gxe crossed out
foglights=gxe crossed out
sunroof=gxe crossed out
bose= optional for gxe
SAWBLADES= somebody got their rims jacked!!!

99% its SE with GXE/GLE rims

Give me your VIN and I'll tell you. No, I'm not kidding. I'm not gonna steal your car or anything. PM the VIN or post it here and I'll tell you the date it was made, trans, model.
