Checking codes in a 99 SE?!
Checking codes in a 99 SE?!
My mom's 99 is throwing the CEL. In my 97, it's simply a matter of turning the screw on the ECU with a screw driver.
But on my mom's 99, the screw head on the ECU is white and has a strange head! Do I need some sort of special tool? Is it the same process for my 97 to check the codes (full clockwise, check codes, then full counter clockwise?)?
Thanks..

Just checked out my ECU yesterday on my 99 to see if I had any codes. I must have changed screwdrivers like ten times. Nothing was small enough. I finally had to borrow my neighbors "eye-glass repair kit". Inside the kit there is super small flat head screwdriver. It fit perfectly!
