Will this hurt my car in any way????

I have stock 16" rims on my car right now with 215/45/16 tires
I want to get stock 18" rims off the 2004, but they have 245/45/18 tires.
Tire rack says if i get 18's i should get 235/40/18

this would make my spedometer reading .4% to slow (when it reads 60 im going 60.2)

the ones on the 2004 18" rims are 245/45/18's

this would make my spedometer reading 5.4% to slow (when it reads 60 im going 63.2)

Will this cause any damage to my transmission or anything??? or will my speedometer just be off???

Thanks

Well besides your speedo being off, you might run into rubbing issues with 245/45/18's. You really should post this in the wheels & tires forum to get the best information. Thats were I post rim & tire questions & the answers I've gotten have been great. Please try there!!!
