I don't know the car, but it looks like a good deal. I am big on the 5 speed. Try to talk him down a little, do a carfax, and have a buyers survey done. I would buy it if it all looks good.

I would try to talk him down on that. It looks okay though.. Get a full mechanic report while your up there and wash the car so you can see all blemishes.. Carfax is great tool use it.

The car looks like its in good shape, but you cant really tell unless you have someone go look at it in person.

Looks like a good deal make sure he didn't abuse it / abuse it as of late... cause i know if i "won a 2003 altima" i'd go out and have some "extra" fun with my backup vehicle ...

IMO you can talk it down somewhere towards 6k if not better...

oh... and remember to enjoy that 5spd + leather

5 speeds are more expensive than the autos, not in general, but in the case of the maxima, they are. I paied 7500 for my '97 with 91,XXX miles on it, and i thought it was a good deal for the condition and how nicely it drove

Automatics will always be more expensive than a stick shift if they have the same options and packages.

I think people are willing to pay a bit more for the 5 spds since they are somewhat rare, I've seen alot of them go for more than autos would.

That car isn't worth more than $6500. It's a 97 but it has 120k on it. I can get a 96 with 58k for $6500.

I dont like the color or the rims he has on it...but thats my opinion....Def Talk him down at least $1000 bucks. BTW Is it true that only 10% of maximas were made as a 5 speed?
