For those have upgraded Stock Speaker wiring

Sorry for the repost, just need opinions before the end of the workday. Thanks guys.

Did it have a signifigant effect on teh SQ of the speaker? The wiring looks really flimsy like 20 gauge or something, it also is very dirty looking even from a fresh splice! Who has ran all new wiring? is it holding the sound of my quarts back? Would changing to some 16 gauge OFC make a noticable difference?THANKS!

I have heard the same setup in two different cars with different wiring. Using Peerless Comps off of a Panasonic HU internal power with using the stock wiring and 12awg wire. There is a big difference, especially in the low frequencies when using the bigger wire.
