Racing with a S/C
#1
This is alot of power going to wheels alone.. My stock max alone when gunning it,It'll just roast the tires for a good second.. then catch grip.. So when I race it..I'll kinda easy into it.. Kinda like when your mother is in the back seat and you don't want to break her neck then just slam it.. I've done a 1/8 mile run a few times this past weekend.. First time I got a 10.6sec...Which sucked cause the damn tree was messing up..After awhile I got the hang of it I believe.
Second time 10.42sec.
Third 10.27sec.
Final run I got a 9.93sec..(after warming up my tires nicely)
I put my supercharger on order yesterday.
So I want to know how would you do your take off when you have a S/C ?
The take off is definetly my weak point when doing the 1/4 and 1/8... And that's where you win or lose the race.. So any suggestion guys or ladies ?

It would have been hard to do on my Max
MY I30 has a LSD which seems to help me quite a bit on a hard launch. I have to be carefull up to about 15mph then I can stomp on it and goes with no tire squell. I just figured this out yesterday really,I was always way to gentle on my starts because I remember how awfull my 95 max whould take off. Of course this info does not help you much. I guess you just have to learn to feel for traction or get a LSD. Have fun with the SC and remember to be carefull until you get a hang of it.
