bad start, need help

My car start than stall, only in a cold day. When it cranking, I have to give it some gas and it start, if I don't give it gas it stall. Idle air control problem? but it does it in the winter and it never happen in the summer. No check engine light, no missing, the car run fine when it start. I have this problem for 2 years, and never figure if out what wrong. Any one have the same problem?

My car did this for close to two years also.

Is it making a kind of Errr sound when you try to start it on cold mornings?

I solved the problem by replacing the Starter motor.

If you still have the original starter, then the grease inside it has probably dried up and is jamming the gears inside it, especially when its cold.

Options:
1. Remove, Clean, & Regrease - www.motorvate.ca
2. Remove & Replace

Both are Do it yourself jobs if you have some tools and an hour or two (for first timers) free.

other things to check:
typical tune up stuff-plugs, filters, etc.
clean throttle body
vacuum lines are all attached
then move on to sensors - MAF, air temp, coolant temp, crank position (x2).
as mentioned above - starter. can also pull it and have Autozone, etc check it for you.
good luck
