Question to those with stock leather seats

on 4th gen maxs, does your Front leather seats have a pocket compartment thing on the backs of the front seats?

Ic, The reason I asked because I have the pocket on both driver and passanger side. I got the seats from a friend and was just wondering what car it came off of.

96-97 Infiniti I30 have pockets on both front seats. 98-99 may, but I cannot confirm. I believe that they do, though.

Weird...oem seats? Noone else has twin pockets on a 4th gen maxima unless they added them.

i Have a 95 but have 97gle seats in and i think both sides have pockets i have to check again when i get home from work.

passengers side pocket only for me 98 SE.
I am pretty sure all I 30's have dual map pockets. But i think they are innerchageable, meaning you could take the back piece off and switch it to the drivers side.

How many of you leather owners have the side airbags?

Oops....I guess I only have it on the passenger side....I guess I'm not in the back seat that often

What do you guys use the pockets for that you want both anyways? I always forgot about mine until this post

Passenger side only on my '96 SE. My sister-in-law asked me about this the other day. She thinks it's weird because most cars have it on both sides. Doesn't really matter to me, I hardly use it anyway.

I dont either but jkklim up there does in his pic. I dont smoke so I can care less and Id beat the shi7 out of them if they lit one in the back seat. I think the newer model cars are trying not to promote cigaretts

Here's my guess--the 4th gen has had side airbag problems as well as lumbar support problems, necessitating the opening of the back of the driver's seat. Most of the time the seat back ends up falling off due to broken clips etc. I think the passenger back can fit on the driver's side, so yours was replaced at some time. Parts are expensive from the mfg., even at 25-35% off. So someone doing the repair is gonna go used when possible. They probably got a used pass side seatback and installed it.
