Too much. Don't do it. If you must, get the list from Nissan on items that are covered and bring it to an independent mechanic and he'll do it for a fraction of the cost. If you look at the list you end up paying several hundred bucks for an oil change, coolant flush, windshield wiper fluid refill, and other silly things like that. Big planned maintenance schedules by dealers like this is a notorious way for them to screw customers out of a lot of money for very little work. Most people unfortunately fall for it.

+1 to everything SkoorbMax said..

If you really are not a DIYer - then get an itemized list of what the 60k package includes - take that list and either tell your dealer to quote you on just the actual action items - not on the "inspect this, inspect that" crap.. most likely at 60k:

1) Spark plugs
2) Air Filter
3) Fuel Filter
4) PCV valve
5) Coolant drain/fill or better yet, flush
6) Auto tranny (if applicable) drain/fill or better yet flush

That should be it... you should flush brake lines when you do the next brake job (front and rears)... if you have a mechanic (non dealer) you trust, then just have them to the work - make sure they use NGK replacement plugs (NO OTHER).

But that doesn't include "Checking the electrical system" or "inspecting wheels and suspension components"!!!

Translation: "Do the lights work", and "Are the wheels still on the car"

I love the "Inspect brakes".. dude I just drove here and stopped right in front of the service department... I think my brakes work ok ... now if you want to charge me 50 bucks to tell me I have 10% left on my pads, well now thats almost worth it ...

Number 6 would of course be manual tranny fluid drain/flush if that fits your car better.

for a 60k service, i'd do the following:

change:
spark plugs
oil change+filter
pcv valve
transmission fluid
radiator coolant
fuel filter (my99maxisnice add)

clean:
throttle body (jatan add)

check:
electronically fine
belts in good shape
brakes work well
tranny shifts smooths

am i missing anything?

Do it yourself. Do the things mentioned above plus clean your throttle body. All the instructions are the in "How To" thread that's stickied at the top of the forum
