1. Remove the fuse box cover under the steering wheel.
2. Remove the two screws on the plastic trim below the the fuse area.
3. Pull the plastic trim out, disconnect the beeper wire and put the trim aside. Try not to lose any of the metal clips.
4. Remove the screws holding the metal bracket underneath the steering wheel and take off the bracket. Put them aside.
5. Get a 10mm socket, a 6 inch extension, and a rachet. If you use a flsh light and look down either side of the steering wheel column, you'll see a nut. There is one on either side holding up the steering column. Remove these and the steering column will drop down. (Be careful of the family jewels if you're sitting directly underneath it.)
6. Use a flat screwdriver to carefully pry out the dimmer and cruise control switches. Disconnect them and put aside.
7. Now stick your fingers in the holes left by the switches and give the black trim a good yank forward. Careful not to break it. Its held on by a few of those metal clips. Try not to lose them.
8. Now you should be able to see the screws holding the gauge assembly into the dash. Remove screws and pull gauge out a bit so you can disconnect the wires.
9. Now you can change the bulbs.
10. Reverse steps to put everything back together.

** NOTE: Some people say steps 1-5 are not necessary. But I like to do it just to give me more room to remove the black trim around the gauges.

I think that's everything. It's been a year since I last did that.

Good luck.
