Almost Ripped off

Well as some of you know, my Max has been out of comission since Saturday. Over the last week, I have been feeling a lot of lag and couldn't find the problem. Finally I decided to check the coils. Cylinder # 5 needed a new coil. Put that in Monday afternoon, car started fine.... let it sit for a minute, turned right off and never turned on again. I checked the fuel regulator, pump and rely. Everything was fine, than being desperate checked the PCV valve. Valve fine so I gave in finally and called the towing truck Took it to a local shop in Illinois, Brandys Auto Shop. Got there at 6, than I called the next day at 9, we're on it right now... called again at 11 we're still on it.... call two more times and the guy was like we're checking it out and cleaning the oil out of the cylinders? They didn't even call and ask if they should proceed with the work. So I finally got ****ed, went over there and gave me this diag:

My mass flow sensor wasn't connected correctly
Fuel injector replaced on cylinder # 5

Heres some BS:
Earlier my battery died and here is why - because I have illegal HIDs
He said my cold air intake was gone and needed to be replaced with his air filter
Also said I needed a new coil for the one I replaced: than I said I replaced it yesterday and he said it wasn't a Nissan part and that's why the misfire is worse plus the injector. Which was a Nissan part*

Total price of all this was 1200 big ones.

I got out for free, almost because I said I didn't want anymore work done and said they never asked if I agreed for them to work on my car. All I wanted is a diag test. Luckly they agreed and all I lost out was the mass flow sensor and towing fees.
I got so ****ed of all this BS, took my ride to the Nissan Stealership and left in there so they can do the fuel injector for tomorrow. Sorry I just had to post this to get rid of all this stress.

So do you have the CAI? Let this be fair warning to either fix your own car or take it to some place reputable, not like the ma and pop places.

i think some ma and pop shops are reputable... you just have to get a personal referral... not everyplace is out to rip you off (it just seems like they are tho :P)
