gr-2 dustboots

gr-2 dustboots

hey i just received gr-2s from the GD section, from phils
but when i asked for the dustboots for those shocks and
struts he told me they couldnt find them. where did yall get
your dustboots and what was the cheapest price you could
find. thanks

hey also have any of you put on the shocks and struts by yourself? i heard that you have to have a special tool to compress the spring is that right?

Yes that's right. I got my dustboots from Cattman for 75 shipped.

Yes, you need a special tool. It is called, strangely enough, a spring compresor. You can probably borrow one from Auto Zone, and if not, they're not expensive. Since you've obviously never done it, please be careful, you can really hurt yourself with compressed springs.

Autozone has a rental policy.
You can get the spring compressors for $40. Re-fundable. The amazing thing is there is no time limit of how long you can keep them for.
Be careful with compressed springs. Otherwise follow the FAQ Stickies and its a breeze.

Same here. The KYB dustboots include shorter bump stops also. Have them on my GR-2's for 1.5 years now.
