Max getting balky (hesitating)

My '97 (136K) has started to balk during acceleration. It was always snappy, but not any more. Generally runs fine, getting good MPG, smooth, just not anxious to get moving unless I really put my foot in it. No check engine light or codes. New plugs, filters, and injector cleaner. I feels like it's running retarded. Any suggestions appreciated.

resrt your ecu, and drive it for a week, then check the for codes once more. u might also need new ignition coils. i replaced all of mine at 185,000 kms they had bad resistance. and also check ur knock sensor.

I did reset the ECU, but still no codes. I'm leaning to the knock sensor since it now seems to run the same on 87 and 94. There used to be a big difference. I think bad coils would cause misfires. It's too smooth to be missing. Really feels like timing (maybe retarded by the knock sensor). Kind of an expensive gamble though (to replace it and hope it fixes it).

i checked all the coils and all of them had bad resistance. they didnt give any misfires. but they did make my car vibrate alot! once i replaced them. my car was running brand spankin new.

I check for codes again this morning and it now has the infamous 0325 set. So I guess it's time for a new knock sensor.

I have a similar problem as jvienneau, but w/ mine, just recently I had a tune up (filters changed, etc..) and a BG Fuel Induction service done on my max (throttle body & whole fuel system cleaned), I had bad hesitating b/w 2000 to 3000 RPM before, now its not as much, but still hesitates b/w 2000 to 2500 RPM, I have over 105K on the odo, what can be causing the lingering hesitation, or does my max need a few days to adjust to the new plugs, filters and a cleaner TB?

Fuel-wise, just after getting the max back from my brother, I've filled it always w/ 93 whereas he's filled it w/ 89. could it also be that the max needs to adjust to the higher octane as well?

lol, did you blink while counting those 25 short & fast lights?
hehe just k/d

me too I have some hesitation problems but it's more when I floor it. I cleaned the TB not long ago and under 2k, it runs perfectly but let's say I'm going 40 and then floor it, it takes like maybe a sec or two before I can really feel it puling. What can be wrong? Changed the spark plugs last summer, oil change every 3-4k. I don't know what else to do to keep the car running good and the manual doesn't say much.

What is included in a tune-up, I never did that since I have my max and what are the coil packs? Sry for my ignorance

I think coil packs may be a big part of all this...they still are "ok" but they lose some of there resistance when they get old, and cause hesitation ?>?

Just a guess
