I heard somewhere that someone did the 5th gen IM swap onto a 4th gen, does anybody have some info on this?

 

This is probably really stupid, but what's a 5th gen IM?

 

intake matifold out of the vq30de (I think they had K in the end too) along with a plenum, it's kind of like mevi but possibly alot cheaper.

 

It does sound stupid, Intake Manifold. ABK, did you even bother checking back a few pages in the general forums or here? Didn't think so.

 

Ok yeah, it's been done once, by krismax with lots of help from others. I don't think it would be a cheap alternative to the mevi (given all the custom fabrication etc). If and when the kinks get worked out it would probably be a better alternative (since the VI on the 5th gens don't suffer from the low end power loss that the mevi does). But anyway, look a few pages back in the general forum like BigD said.

 

yo you need to chill out man, you sound retarded I wasn't on these forums for a long time (doing something more important) so I couldn't possibly see it. Today somebody said something that somebody finished thier 5th gen IM project, so I wanted to take a look at it. Since the search doesn't work for me at least (do they accept donations now?, I'm too broke anyways) I can't find it.
