I have been having problems with my car hesitating alittle when starting it for few weeks now but always started from first time, I always thought it was the battery. Today I took her out for a 100 mile drive when driving back I saw my headlights flash every time I cought first gear, then when I parked in my garage turned it off tried to start it again and nothing everything was dead, left it for few mins opened the door and the lights started working tried to start the car again and it just died..

I am thinking I need both now new battery and alternator?? anyone think otherwise?

How much does an alternator cost if you think that is what it is?

Try to jump start it and then try to take to Autozone and let them test hte alternator and batt.
