Is there an easier way to get the rear speakers out without having to remove back seat.

 

yeah i was going to do it then i looked at the right up, also can u hook non bose speakers in there easily, i noticed the wiring was weird

 

It's not really that hard at all, the bottom of the back seat comes out with the "rip cord" style pulls in about 10 seconds, and the back of the back seat comes out after like 4 easy bolts. It's like a 15-20 minute project start to finish.

 

Yea its pretty easy... its actually harder ( to me atleast) to remove the deck and the panels on the pillars.

 

can you not remove them from inside the trunk?

 

Nope, you need to take out the rear back portion of the seats, the pillars and rear deck to take them out.

Ditto what Ant said... careful with the C pillar panels. Cracked one of mine taking it out. The retaining clips were in there solid.

Where is the write-up about that, I forgot? Remember seeing it somewhere but back then, I wasn't thinking about changing my speakers don't didn't pay too much attention to it, but next week, I'm gonna be putting infinity 6002i in front and rear

Is it risky to replace the speakers if I don't know anything about sound systems? Like for the wires, is it just plug out and plug the new one in?

 

Two thumbs up to the Infinity Reference 6002i speakers. The best part is the pivoting tweeters (not available on the shallow 6002si), which sound awesome in the doors bcz they are mounted so low. Plus, I got them from Crutchfield for only $79. My Bose are still alive and well in my rear deck, so I have no opinion to offer for this specific install.

 

How long ago was that? They sell it on ebay for $50 now

 

Oh yeah, what about the head unit? Cause I'm replacing it next week as well but never did that. Is it easy and safe?

 

Ordered them mid-late April. Crutchfield's current offer is buy one pair at $99, get the second pair 1/2 off. But . . . that's still $50 more than what you've found.
