bad KS and cylinder 1 misfire...

My CEL flashed at me as I was chasing down a riced Grand Prix (had a big GT sitcker on it, but it wasn't a GT). Ran a friend's diagnostic computer and the KS has failed or malfunctioned, and possibly cylinder 1 has misfired. Anybody got a write up or anything on how to change the KS?

I've got the same problem currently with the KS and cylinder 2 misfiring. there is a write up in the write up section under engine i believe. But I think I'm going to take it to a mechanic to test the coils and **** to determine if the KS is making the cylinder misfire, or the cylidner misfiring is setting off the KS. I also need new CV joints. I think I'm gonna just get new axle's, (rebuilt) anyone know where youc an find good ones?

you dont need a mechanic to check your coils, all you need is a multi meter. check the stickies for more detail but if my memory is correct, just disconnect a coil pack, and test it with the meter, you should get infinite, my memery is shot but I'm sure its in the stickies.

Check you plug for the cylinder that is misfiring. If the plug looks OK then try swapping the coil in question with one next to it.... then clear the codes and see if the coil causes the other cylinder to misfire.
