Are there any differences?

In the 4th gen cars (1995-1999), there are no differences in the mufflers between trim levels. The same is true for the 5th gen cars (2000-present), but be aware the 5th gen muffler is different from the 4th gen muffler.

 

The SE mufflers have a different tip.. thats it.. its only looks purposes only... no peformance difference

 

actually the tip can be bought from any of your local nissan dealer and installed to any maxima by shoving it in to the pipe. I think they call it exhaust finisher(tip)
