Running power cable through the firewall, installing big 3

Good Evening,

Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, but for some reason I am restricted from searching :/

At any rate, I am getting ready to install a sound system into my 1996 Maxima GXE< and am wondering where the best and/or easiest place to run the power cable (I am using 4 gauge) is located in the firewall.

Also, I am upgrading my big 3, so if anyone has any experience that they would be willing to share regarding this upgrade, I'd greatly appreciate the knowledge.

Thanks in advance,

Carl

I think you'll find this in the FAQ's. Search is down until who knows when.

In a nut shell. Jack the left side up. Remove the wheel. remove the wheel well liner-careful with the plastic rivets, they'll break easily. You'll see the main wiring harness going into the car through a big grommet. CAREFULLY poke a hole through the grommet beside the harness with a dulled coat hanger or kabob skewer. Tape the cable/wire to the end of the coat hanger/skewer, look inside the car under the dash, find it and pull it through.
I have two 4 gauge lines and my MEVI wiring through that grommet, so theres lots of room.

Now send me a dollar... paypal account is ....

Cheers!
