Throttle issue

Good morning tech heads! I am having a problem with my fuel. Yes, I have put additive in the tank and ran 93 octane through and nothing happened. I don't know if its the fuel injectors or what. My ECU feedback is saying a knock sensor and the EGR valve has faulted. However, the car still runs. I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem but the little "blue" screw on top of the engine/intake area, you might know the name but I don't, has been adjusted by my ex-wife. Could this be another problem? Please identify the issue guys. Your smarts depend on my future of my Maxima.

I spoke with a techie and he suggested that I replace a hose. Might be full of carbon deposits and go for a full fuel injection clean. That might clear up some things.

I can. I will have to borrow a digital camera from a friend of mine and I will post it as soon as I get it. It is the one hose that is curved that goes from the EGR value to another valve. I will get the techincal names for you too.
