r32 Headlight Install
Just judging from the pic, the only difference would be that the maxima headlights have rounded corners, the sentras are more square. The slant on the two headlights might be different too. Take into consideration the width of the front end of the two vehicles and the height of the front facia. Another thing, the picture that Oxidizer2k posted of the Maxima and Sentra headlights show that the Maxima headlight sorta wraps around whereas the Sentra's is just straight. That headlight will definitely clash with the Maxima's rounded front end.
If the Cefiro headlights require a lot of modifications to fit them into a Maxima and the body types of the two are very similar, what more on a Sentra.
Just something to think about.

Let me save you some time..
trying to use a dremel on the frame of your car where you will have to cut to fit the lights will do nothing but waste dremel blades

you gotta get a real grinder and go to town.. which is why I never ended up doing it..
good luck
OK ...so what is a good tool to cut with? I have sheet metal cutters and I also have some power tools.I also have an 80lb compressor..I think am gonna drill and then cut...any recommendations on a metal grinder?
Dude you do realize that a rotary tool can cut through almost anything with the right blade. I have almost every tool to man and the only real difference is that its smaller and is used for smaller jobs, cuts etc. It may take a while but to get a fine cut a dremil will do it. The only other thing that can make a fine cut that i can think of would be one of those plasma cutters (looks like the offspring of a blow torch and a welder).

that being said, I tried every kind of blade I could find for my dremel, and all it did was waste blades.. it does make some progress, but not near enough to be effective time wise or money wise.. trust me, it's much harder to cut than you think
wJ
Fine im not saying that it will be easy but have you ever used the larger ones? I have the tools to cut just about any material. Unless you dont care how wide the cut is, then you will have no choice but use something as precise as the dremil. The bigger the tool, the wider the cut.
i totally have to agree with u willis. my brother in aw is gonna work with me and he said I am gonna go through blade like beer on a hot suuy day....that's gonna happen too when the project is done. We are gonna use a grinder, sand discs and atry a portable jig.
Still trying to move those Skyline R32 projector headlamps.
If anyone if interested - I live in Manchester, NH
I'm in the Boston area every weekend.
Here are the lamps- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3ALC%3AMT%3A1
Or email me at MParkerson2@yahoo.com
These lamps will fit in a 4th Gen. Maxima

Hey ChinoX,
Did you measure the dimension of the Maxima and the Skyline headlights? I haven't read anything in the FAQ or remember seeing anyone checking the dimensions between the two. What I mean is the dimension of the glass (height & width), the part that shows once the lamp assembly is in the car, hood closed. Hopefully that makes sense.

I measured the lights, The length and with are pretty much identical. Dont really know what the angle is on the rounded side but the only difference i can see is that its deeper on one side. You will have to cut something and make some brackets to hold them in. My set should be coming in today sometime but i think im going to hold off the install for a little while. There are 3 things that i have to finish before i can do this mod.
Oxidizer::: what car are those dual halo projector lights made for ? is that for 88-89 civic??? i would suggest going to the junkyard and getting old housings from those cars that those lights are made for and testing them in the max....if it fits good then we can all go out and make that mod. cuz im bout to try this myself now.
