what size bolt are used in engine bay, at the ground points?

i need to buy ring terminals to make my grounding kit. i need to know the bolt size. the choices i have are 1/4", 5/16", 3/8"...the other such as size 8 and 10 and 1/2" are probably not the correct size. i'm just lazy and don't feel like going to the garage to take a bolt out and measure it. thanks.

10mm...the same thing as EVERYTHING else in our cars, hell if youve got a 10mm ratchet head and a ratchet you can practically take our cars apart...

10mm is the size of the head of the bolt, not the thread post diameter. I would suggest pulling the bolt to measure correctly for installing the ring terminals.
