Foglight mania

Hey guys...I'm new to the forums here and just bought a '96 SE 5spd and am converting it to leather. I'm try to get the car in good working order and everything up to par before I do my Y pipe and underdrive pulleys ect. What I've run into is this...my bumper is cut for foglights...has foglights in it...but not the nice ones that actually fit the bumper, they are some Blazer made pos's that stick out like a sore thumb, and are broken on top of it all. Anyway...I can't really see sinking $150ish into the really nice lights right now (anyone know where I can get em cheaper?), so Im curious as to what others have done with these holes...are there any cheaper fog lights that look nice down there? Is it possible to buy filler plates that screw in to cover the holes? I know that eventually I will be buying the nice ones, but right now I have to rebuild the sunroof, get my baby aligned and the abs light off...and that Y Pipe is just crying to be bought....so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Brandon

i'm planning to cut out the holes in mine since GLEs don't come with the lights. i thinking of buying some big round fog lights, around 3" maybe. i've seen them around in autozone but i'm sure there are better ones. then put some wire mesh to cover the holes.

I needed new fog lights because mine were yellowish and cracked. Nissan wanted about $175 for each light. I went on ebay and found this dude that was selling 2 of them for $180ish. The difference is that they are made of glass as opposed to the plastic from the dealer. I installed them and they were a perfect match. Look into those if it would help.

The ones from the dealer are not made from plastic, but rather glass. That is why you see so many people on here angry because they crack with a rock chip.
I wish they were made from the same material as our headlights.....rock-resistant plastic.
