hacked air box

can u pass inspections with a hacked air box?

Hack it on the underside, so they do not see it when they lift the hood.

i don't see why not... just have it cut where they can't see it... hopefully they dont check the actual filter, if they do im not sure if you'll pass because down here in GA we don't have full inspections (yet)

Do you have a HAI?

If so - how do you like it, what's the sound like? Any loss/gain in power? Anyone else reading this could answer too please!

i just hacked my airbox. the sound at regular cruising speed is stock sounding, no hint of the Hacked box. now when you stop on the throttle a bit, you will here a very nice deep growl, very pleasant sounding in my opinion. i havent really felt a loss/gain in performance but i sure as h3ll hope i can pass inspection, mines due next month

after i did mine i kinda felt a loss, but it might be in my head because i was apprehensive of doing this. it almost has an american growl to it. i like the sound otherwise i would of tried to patch the hole.
