Man, you guys got kinda mean. Im also pretty new to the forum. I had alot of the same questions as this guy, but I didnt ask them because I already had that "Needs to read the FAQ's" thing beside my name. Since Im at it, what in the world is an FSTB?

Do whatever you want to your car... just dont feel bad when people laugh at your scratched up body kit after a few hits a few potholes.

I was there once too...

i know ur 17 and this is ur 1st car. i got my 1st car last year and i was in same situation as you. was freakin out (coudlnt even sleep at nights, woulda woke up at 2 am in morning and go for a drive). anyways here is the important thing. you should start hangin around this forum, read read read and read more and read MORE and MORE. this way you learn ALOT and make smarter decisions. i was like you too. i had 4 grand and i wanted to get buncha stuff for my max but im glad i didnt and waited. right now u say u want 17" but in a year or so you might regret that and want some 19".

for now i suggest you buy these as a start and hold on purchasing anything else for 6months or so.

Diamond cut clear corners
Clear tail lights
Y pipe
FSTB
RSB
true CAI
STS

hold off on skyline kit, rims and stuff like that. once you hang around .org and see all the different combos for mods, ull make SMARTER and more EDUCATED decisions !!!

btw nice find and enjoy ur maxima. welcome to tha .org

I'm 17 as well. It's great that your first car is a Maxima and a 5spd never the less, your very lucky!

Buy whatever you want too buy it's your car, but please don't terrorize the streets. Ya the occasional street races can be alright, but don't make us Maxima owners look bad by wanting to race everything on the block!!

Make your car faster, better looking or whatever, but please be careful, street racing isn't everything in this world, and 1/4 mile racing is a lot more fun in the end anyway!!

Before you start researching modifications, you should use the time to study and complete basic highschool, if not elementary english classes.

good luck on the car and congrats on buying it yourself. Baby the thing and take care good care of it. It's a fast car but don't go crashing the thing the first week you get it. A car is a very big responsibility so be safe and mod what you can handle and afford.
