Cleaning Issues, What to Use

Hello everyone, Im new and have a problem. I have noticed many Maximas with the model logo removed from the car so I decided to remove my "GLE". There is now some residue left over. Can any one give me a simple solution as to how to remove it? What can I do?
Also considering painting the car, an recommendations as to where I should go, Ive been told to stay away from Maaco.

I found that white gas (Coleman camp fuel) works great for all sorts of crud. It also worked well on the residue left behind when I removed the Nissan hamburger from the trunk lid. Just dont rub hard or you might scratch the paint.

Rubbling alcohol, Goo Gone etc. etc. Make sure you apply some wax to that area right after you finish cleaning the goo off.

I will see if I can find that, do you know if it is available at like a Home Depot or something? Is it the solution or the cloth that would scratch the paint?

stay the heck away from macco. they use their own paint, and not factory colors. just looks the same, and cheap quality. goto walmart and get some 3m adhesive and wax remover. in auto motive. spray the area, and wait a few secs. spray again, and wipe gently on the residue as not to rub in the residue to the paint. after that use detailer and claybar to remove any dirt. and then wax after.

Use Meguiar's paint cleaner. It will take it right off, and is great for removing small scratches and small marks. Great stuff.

Remember that sometimes, the paint around the area has faded. The best thing you can do is wax. You may try a paint restorer, but the likelihood is that the shadow will linger.

goo-gone is god, it'll get anything off. Just make sure you wash the area really well after just to make sure it wont eat your clearcoat.
