Fuel guage not working!!

Yesterday I changed the bubls behind my guages to 194 LED's, I dremeled the holes for them to fit, one of the bulbs fell through when I was soldering it. So when I opened it the fuel guage fell out, and the needle moved, so I put it back in. Today when I drove the max, the needle was all the way at the bottom below the empty line. So I filled $20 bucks gas just to be safe, since I didnt know how much gas was in there. When I got in and started the car, the needle went all the way up as if it was filled up. So Is the guage messed up, or will it re-adjust itself??? If it is messed up, where can I buy just an SE white backed fuel gauge?

Thanks

Drive around and see if hte needle moves down. After around 80-150 miles, it should be in hte 1/4 tank gone line.

If it doesnt work, does anyone know where I can find a new fuel gauge? or if I can recalibrate it myself?

I drove around a bit today, and haven't noticed a difference in where the needle is? If I take it out and mess around with it, is there any way I can fix it or do I need to get another one? also can I have it calibrated somewhere?

LEAVE IT!!!!

It should be fine since it is a floating gas gauge. i hit the gauge when I was putting on my bezel insert and it through it all outta place but it corrects itself......give it about 50 more miles and if for some ODD reason it doesn't work then take it out and inspect it thorughly but I bet it will be fine!

I have a feeling its still not going to work, because I drove it around today, and it has not moved at all.

I took it out, and put the needle to half a tank. When I plugged it in, the guage went all the way up to the fill mark. Maybe it will re-adjust??

You pulled off the needle and did it? Or did you just push it down?
