I have a 1998 SE 5 speed w/ 115k on it. I just replaced the clutch and brakes and was wondering what else will need to be replaced soon, or should I cut my loses and trade her in?

I wouldn't get ride of her if your worried about the milage. 116K on a VQ is not very high. I own a 98 max also with 168k on it and it runs like a charm. Really the only thing left for you to do would be to replace the following. But these items are basic items that periodically need to be replaced anyway. Concider replacing them routine maintnence.
Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter
Clean or replace air filter
Change Oil & Oil Filter
Any bad gromet's or PCV valves.

These items are optional replacement. Usually you see a loss in power or get a CEL if they are damaged & need to be replaced.
02 Sensors
Knock Sensor
Ignition Coils

also a fellow '98 owner, don't give up on your Max, I'm closing in on 106K and it drives like it has 1/2, despite a SES light currently on which I'll fix this week

nostrixoxide has some good advice on what needs to be checked, in addition you might want to check your belts to see what shape they're in
