FrankenCAR exhaust on my 4th gen
Sup guys,
As some of you know, I bought a FrankenCAR exhaust from FrankenCar.com for about 250bucks. They had a mixup on their website that said that thye had exhaust for our cars. So I bought one and when I got it - noticed that it was not my car, it was for 1999.5-2003. So I called them and they said that oops.. sorry. We cant refund ur shipping and I would have to pay for the shipping back to the shop as well. Who knows, theres probably a restocking fee as well, not to mention if I scratch the thing they might not accept it at all. So I've very displeased with FRANKENCAR. A blunder caused by them and they wont accept responsibility. So FCK EM. Anyways, I took my car to my local exhaust shop and told them to have their way with it. They had to reweld the hinges, cut the bumper, and fabricate the inlet pipe and MIG welded the flange. So the exhaust now bolts up to my car but it looks fugly. Thats ok because the reason I was changing exhausts was that someone had rear-ended me and the muffler fell off. That was good because I didnt want the stillen FART-CAN. This muffler has some clearance issues so after the welded on some longer hinges, the tips now clear the rear-bumper. Yes I know its FUGLY, but it sounds exactly what I was looking for. Very silent but I can still tell its there. You know where in the powerband you are at just by listening to the car. Now taking this max on long drives isnt annoying but fun. So just had to let you guys know. This muffler cost me a total of 350 bucks installed. Not bad. Now I need to get the rear bumper.
I give this bumper a 10/10 for the noise/drone.
Now for some pics:

if you want ur muffler to hang higher, you can use a hose clamp and clamp the rubber hanger.
btw...in ur sig it shoud be "stillen brake upgrade", not "stillen break upgrade". just wanna let u know that's all
