changing lights in bose audio console
I'd like to change all my interior lights for a summer project. The gauge, window switches, hazard/defrost/auto a/c units all seem self explanatory. Has anyone changed the lights in the bose head unit with LED's. If so, is it as straightforward as the others?
Oh. also, the letters near the shift **** and the light that lights up the sliding cubbyhole under the bose unit. Anyone done that yet? Thanks for the replies.

I changed the color on my Bose Stock system, so I might be able to give you some advice. As for the Bose Radio it uses a plastic clear diffuser lens to help light up the entire panel. There are about 8 lights in there. If you plan on using leds make sure the leds have a way of lighting up sideways instead of just a focus strait pattern, sorry not sure if that made a whole lot of sense.
The plastic clear diffuser panel is about 1/4 inch thick. It has holes where the tiny bulbs pass through. Once lit the sides of the bulbs spread the light through out the entire plastic clear diffuser and that is what lights up the Bose Radio, unlike the Climate Control that uses one bulb to light up one switch.
