DEI Cryogenic Intake System

have any of you guys recently gone to the custommaxima website? they added a DEI Cryogenic Intake System which cools done the intake with co2 or intercooler and such. just want to know if any of you guys tried it already. would like to know what the gains are and how complicated the installation is.

thanks "maxees"

Just because they sell something, doesn't mean it actually works. Remember that.

that's why i want to know if it does work. and because having colder air forced into your engine adds horsepower doesn't it?

It does work in theory, but it's effect is minimal. Look at their own dyno charts for cars, I think they gain like 5-6% which really isn't worth it for the price. Plus on higher hp cars, it would likely be a flow restriction.

Consider how fast the air is rushing past the cooling area, consider how long it takes to actually cool the air and then consider if there are any air restrictions.

it looks like the intake section has a little restriciton due to the co2 line going through it but the add on for the intercooler doesn't restrict flow just cools the intercooler itself for the force induction.

i just don't understand the fuel bar? colder fuel adds power never heard of that before.
